Just a few thoughts I had this morning…
Thank God for our First Responders! Pray for our First Responders! They have been trained/certified to respond quickly to emergency situations. What a comfort we have knowing that there are men and women that have been called to serve in this role. For that we are truly thankful!
For those of us who don’t hold that title, we can still be a first responder.
Here’s how we do it:
In times of trouble, your first response should always be to cry out to the Lord! In the midst of all the flooding in Louisiana, be a first responder by calling upon the Lord Jesus Christ. In the verse below, the psalmist cries out on behave of Zion. Let your first response be to cry out to God for the people of Louisiana and our state.
As I read in my daily devotional today, I came across a few verses that can be your prayer.
12 But you, Lord, sit enthroned forever;
your renown endures through all generations.
13 You will arise and have compassion on Zion (Louisiana),
for it is time to show favor to her;
the appointed time has come.
14 For her stones are dear to your servants;
her very dust moves them to pity.
15 The nations will fear the name of the Lord,
all the kings of the earth will revere your glory.
16 For the Lord will rebuild Zion (Louisiana)
and appear in his glory.
17 He will respond to the prayer of the destitute;
he will not despise their plea.
Living in HIS Joy!
