He’s a joy-filling GOD

I really love this verse: “The LORD is my strength and shield. I trust him with all my heart. He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy. I burst out in songs of thanksgiving.” Psalm 28:7 (NLT)

I just love my “JOY-FILLING” God! He is always faithful to His Word! Obviously, you must first surrender your life into His hands, making Him the Lord of all. Otherwise, this verse is just beautiful words on a page.  But it so perfectly describes my life now and can do the same for you!  Just 36 years ago (February 16, 1979) I said yes to my Heavenly Father, and His Son, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit!!! That day… my entire life was changed.

“The LORD is my strength and shield.”  Life is not easy or problem-free. I have to say, no matter what this world throws at me,  I am not alone; not for a moment will He forsake me! He gives me the strength to walk through hard circumstances and when I can’t walk anymore, He carries me.

“I trust Him with all of my heart.” Even today we are facing yet another chance to see God move in our lives. (Our meaning… me and my husband) I am reminded of a song my pastor’s son, Kristopher Neel wrote: Faithful God. One line says, “though the future seems unclear to me… Faithful God! I choose to look at the road bumps in life as a set-up for God to be glorified!

“He helps me and I am filled with joy. I burst out in songs of thanksgiving.” I have learned that the best way to deal with the trials of this life is to simply worship. The solution to our anxieties and concerns is an easy one. It works every time my heart is overwhelmed. So today as I worship, my heart is trusting in Him and I am filled with joy! My cup is not half empty, not half full… My cup overflows!

I am asking you today… Please pray for us!

Living in HIS Joy!
